What is a Guild?
A Guild is a group of people who band together to promote and encourage the knowledge of quilt making as an art and as a craft, acknowledging it as part of our future and our past. A Guild is formed to promote friendships, shared activities, and charity work. The Cyber Friends Quilt Guild will offer many fun and exciting things for all members to participate in if they so wish. Some will be through the guild itself and others will be through the Cybee Groups or Hives. There will be monthly meetings, blocks of the month/BOM’s, and challenges. Also on the Web site are a library of quilting links, a “school” for various techniques, our cookbook, the message boards to communicate and learn from, and much more.

Who can join?

Membership is open to anyone who loves quilting and who agrees to participate in a Cybee Group and do two community projects (CP) per year. Each Cybee Group does these CP’s differently. Whether you are a beginning quilter or an experienced one, there is something for every ability.

Does a Guild member have to do community projects (CP)?

YES…If you don’t have time, don’t join the guild.

Does a Guild member have to join a swap?
No, you are not required to join in any of the swaps or activities hosted by the Guild.

How are meetings handled?
We will have monthly meetings online. Time and date are posted on the calendar which can be accessed through the message board. .

Do we pay dues now?
Dues are to be paid after you have been notified that your application was received. Dues received after Jan 1^st will cover a one-year period from January to December. Dues will be paid to the Treasurer, LindaTX. If you do not have her home address, email her and she can send it to you. strawberryjunction@yahoo.com

What is Guild Money used for?
All monies received for dues will be used for printing membership cards, postage, Quilt show prizes, donations, and other necessary operating expenses.
