Cut squares what ever size your block calls for.

Cut 2 blocks of the outside color (color B) and one for the center

Color (color A).

Mark the center point of your block, color A.

Also mark it down ¼ inch.  It should look like the picture above.

 

 

Now mark from the ¼ inch center mark to each corner.

These 2 lines will be your stitching lines.  Do not draw above the ¼

Inch line.

 

 

Place color A and one color B, right sides together and

Stitch along just one of the lines as above.

 

 

Trim off corner leaving ¼ seam allowance.

 

 

Press open. It should now look like this on the front. (Above)

 

 

Place your second color B under color A, right sides together.

(I slipped it down a little to show how it goes under.)

Stitch along the other line.

 

 

Again, trim off corner leaving ¼ inch seam allowance.

Press open as you did before.

 

 

Square up to whatever size square your pattern called for. 

You can mark all that you need and do them in the strip piecing method.

By doing it this way, you will never lose a point in your seam when assembling

Your blocks and you will have perfect points every time.
