What to say, what to say...  hmmmm

I have been blessed with two sons - both grown - and two fantastic granddaughters!!  These two young girls are both showing interest in the art of quilting.  One has received her sewing machine when she turned 5 and the other will receive hers next year.   The girls spend a fair amount of time with their grandparents and we enjoy every minute of it - even if we are exhausted when they go home!

I work three days a week for the State of Wisconsin in addition to handling the finances for my husband's business.  My husband's idea of do it yourself is looking up a number in the phone book to find someone to do it for him LOL  I am much more frugal so I keep very busy.

I got back into sewing when I decided "it wouldn't be that difficult" to make a memory quilt for my mother almost two years ago.  I learned so much with that project but I also became a host for the quilting bug so here I am.

I joined CFQG because I needed something that would require that I actually finish a project.  I was interested in doing charity quilts so this has been a good fit.   I get to practice and get better at what I love to do AND someone else benefit as well.  There is nothing as comforting as a quilt.
